"Duck Duck Punch" : A video game for Post-Stroke Neurorehabilitation
Clemson University, Summer 2011- present
In collaboration with stroke therapists at the Medical University of South Carolina, we have built a video game to help stroke survivors recover reaching capability. Our game allows stroke survivors to control a virtual arm by moving their impaired arm. We use the Microsoft Kinect to capture data and a custom kinematics scheme to facilitate control of the virtual arm. Because stroke survivors have upper-limb impairment, our system compensates for impaired movement.
